This 15ct yellow gold guard/muff chain is a warm yellow colour and in near perfect condition. Popular in Victorian times, guard or muff chains were used to hold a ladies fob watch securely or to attach to a woollen muff or hand warmer. Now they have been repurposed and are substantial enough to be worn as a necklace wrapped a number of times around the neck.
